Mark L. Zonneveld, 28, passed away May 16th at his home in Alpharetta, Ga.

Mark was born on December 1, 1981 to Carla and Diederik Zonneveld. He attended elementary school in Sparland, Ill., middle and high school in Lafayette, Ind., and graduated from Tennessee Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in 2006.

Having dealt with adversity from a very young age, Mark was a strong person who looked after the needs of others before his own. He was an avid softball, bowling, tennis and golf player. In his last few years, Mark worked as a computer systems engineer at E*Trade Financial, with coworkers he happily considered a second family.

Mark is survived by his parents Carla and Diederik, sister Andrea, grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mark’s memory to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation, via a 5K that his sister will be running in his memory.
