Prince of Peace plans yard sale Saturday
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fayetteville is hosting a yard sale, this Saturday, May 15, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. All proceeds benefit the summer youth and college mission trips to Munster, Ind., to help with flood relief and to Eustis, Fla. to help with hurricane, tornado, and flooding damage that is still present for previous storms. The sale will be held at the church, 257 Highway 314, Fayetteville.

Evans will sign new book in PTC
Local resident Aaron Evans will sign his book, The Emerging Daniel Company, at Books A Million at The Avenue in Peachtree City Saturday, May 15, from 2-4 p.m. The book also is available for purchase online at www.emergingdanielcompany.com.

Inman men plan fundraising fish fry
The Inman United Methodist Men’s group (IUMMC) will host a fundraising fish fry May 15 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the church. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Proceeds will go for roof repairs and youth activities. For more information, call the church, 770-461-2123.

CDM offers prophet training seminar
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM), 114 W. Campbellton St., Fairburn, will host a seminar titled “Prophet Chambers Training: Part Four,” on Saturday, May 15, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The speaker will be Prophet Timothy Frazier. The training is for those who feel called to the office of the prophet and for those who want to understand the role of the prophet in the 21st Century.” Contact the CDM office, 770-969-8370 for registration information. PTC Presbyterian concert set for May 16
The public is invited to a special concert of patriotic music with Mark Hayes and the Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church Choir on May 16 at 11:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Dove Award-winner Mark Hayes has over 50 recordings and a personal catalog of over 500 published original works. Admission is free, however a ticket will be required. Tickets are available at [email protected] or at the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City, 206 Willowbend Rd. Holy Trinity will offer Griefshare
Griefshare, a 13 week Christian video/discussion support group for those who have lost a loved one,will be offered at Holy Trinity Church at 101 Walt Banks Road in Peachtree City. Each GriefShare session is self-contained so one can begin attending at any time. Sessions will be offered on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. beginning May 19 and May 21. Jason Epps guests at CTK
Jason Epps of Senoia, son of Bishop David and Dr. Cynthia Epps of Sharpsburg, will be the guest preacher at the 10 a.m. service at the Cathedral of Christ the King on Pentecost Sunday, May 23. A deacon at Christ the King, Epps is also a lieutenant with the Peachtree City Police Department. The church is located at 4881 Highway 34 East between Peachtree City and Newnan.

PTCUMC’s VBS is June 21-25
Peachtree City United Methodist Church will host the “High Seas Expedition” Vacation Bible School, June 21 – 25, from 9 a.m. until noon each day. Children entering kindergarten through entering sixth grade will make new friends, hear Bible adventures, do crafts, play games, enjoy snacks, and learn music. Registration is open to the community. The $20 registration fee includes t-shirt and Bible buddies. Those planning to attend must register by June 6 to guarantee t-shirt sizes. For families with more than two children the fee is $50 maximum. All classes will meet at the PTCUMC Family Campus, 400 Windgate Rd. in Peachtree City. Faith Lutheran will host soccer camp
Faith Lutheran in Sharpsburg will host Soccer Camp 2010 June 21-24. Under the theme “Win the Prize”, children ages 4-13 will spend four days learning valuable soccer skills from an experienced coaching staff and will enjoy Christian fellowship. Camp is from 9 a.m. to noon each day, and concludes with a special Soccer Sunday barbecue and festival at the church on June 27.
