Southern Crescent Chorale concert raises over $4.000 for Christian City’s Children’s Village

The Southern Crescent Chorale is happy to announce that the annual benefit concert held on Saturday, Mar. 27 raised over $4,200 for the Children’s Village at Christian City. In addition to a performance by the Southern Crescent Chorale, under the direction of Janice Folsom, the crowd was blessed with the beautiful music of the Woodward Academy choirs under the direction of Stephen Rotz and Suzanne Woodruff. This concert marks the Chorale’s sixth benefit concert. Over $20,000 has been raised for children’s organizations in the community through these benefit concerts.

The Chorale is now in rehearsals for the Beach Party Concert which will be held at The Villages Amphitheater on Saturday, May 22 at 8 p.m. Come early and take advantage of the free Shag Dance lessons beginning at 7:15 p.m. For more information go to www.southerncrescentchorale.org.
