A dash across the railroad tracks didn’t stop a shoplifter from Walmart from being caught by Peachtree City police Wednesday morning.

The suspect, identified as Fabian Good, 40, of Newnan was apprehended behind the IHOP restaurant after a brief foot chase, police said. Good stolen DVDs from the store and fled on foot from Walmart loss prevention officers initially, police said.

Good was charged with theft by shoplifting, driving with a suspended license and driving with a cancelled auto registration.

Good is currently on parole for a previous shoplifting conviction, having been out of prison since Aug. 31, 2009.
