Melanie Anne Gribben and Philip John Pekarske were married Oct. 3, 2009, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Fayetteville. Father Jimmy Adams and the Rev.Justin Kollmeyer presided at the wedding. A reception followed at the Wyndham Conference Center in Peachtree City .
The bride is the daughter of Earl and Cindy Gribben of Fayetteville. She is a 2007 graduate of Whitewater High School.
The groom is the son of John and Estella Pekarske of Jefferson, formerly of Fayetteville. He is a 2003 graduate of Fayette County High School in Fayetteville and currently is serving in the United States Marine Corp, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
The maid of honor was Melissa Gribben, sister of the bride, of Fayetteville. Bridesmaids were Meredith Teat and Jami Pridmore, both of Fayetteville.
The best man was Adam Pekarske, brother of the groom, of Revere, Mass. Groomsmen were Tyler Gribben and Ryan Anderson, both of Fayetteville.
The ushers were John Myer and George Harkness, also both of Fayetteville.
The couple now reside in Jacksonville, N.C.
