Mr. and Mrs. Doug Handy of Peachtree City, announce the marriage of their daughter, Adele Dorothy Handy, to Britton Andrew Goodloe, son of Mike and Linda Goodloe of Marietta. The wedding took place Sept. 26, 2009 at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church of Peachtree City and was officiated by the Rev. Miriam Beecher.

The bride wore a beaded halter gown in ivory lace with a floor length veil belonging to her mother and was given away by her father.

Jean Goetz of Atlanta was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelli Handy of Layton, Utah; Nicole Handy of Albuquerque, N.M.; Vanessa Dimayuga of Rochester, Minn.; and Jordan Myers of Boston, Mass.

Best man was Zach Shuler of Marietta. Groomsmen were Eric Corbin and Ryan Corbin, brothers of the groom; Craig Handy, brother of the the bride and Clay Hendricks of Marietta. Ushers were Mike Handy of Layton, Utah, and Chris Handy of Albuquerque, N.M., brothers of the bride; Michael Kadow of Peachtree City; and Bobby Martin of Baton Rouge, La., uncle of the bride.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of McIntosh High School and completed her bachelor of science degree in biology and psychology at the University of Georgia. She is currently enrolled in Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minn.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Pope High School and earned his bachelor of business administration at the University of Georgia with a major in economics. He is currently employed as a logistics analyst for General Electric.

Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held at Flat Creek Country Club in Peachtree City. The couple honeymooned at Ana Maria Island, Fla. and now reside in Rochester, Minn.
