A Fayetteville woman on Nov. 15 was charged with possession of three ounces of marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms in a traffic stop in Peachtree City.

Sarah Blakeslee, 21, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule 1 substance (mushrooms) and seatbelt violation, according to police.

Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Matt Myers said Blakeslee was pulled over on Ga. Highway 74 and Clover Reach near The Avenue on a seatbelt violation.

The officer recognized unusual behavior and nervousness and, upon questioning her, Blakeslee gave the officer approximately two grams of marijuana in a grinder, Myers said.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed the presence of 2.9 ounces of marijuana and several doses of hallucinogenic mushrooms, said Myers.

Blakeslee was transported to the Fayette County Jail.
