Car Show set for Aug. 29

The Coweta Fayette Rotary Club will host its 7th annual Chassis for Charity Car Show Saturday, Aug. 29, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Junction Lanes in Newnan.  

Every year the show attracts car, truck, and bike enthusiasts from across Georgia and Alabama.   This year the show will have 26 judged classes for cars, trucks, and bikes, with 1st and 2nd place trophies in each class.  Also presented are trophies for Best In Show, Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine, and People’s Choice.   The first 50 entrants will receive dash plaques.

Grazing Here’s food truck, along with The Frigid Frog, will be on site serving food and drinks.  Dusty the Clown will entertain the kids and young at heart.  DJ Jamie Eubanks will spin tunes all day, too.  Over $1,000 in raffle prizes are available to win with a 50/50 raffle too.  

Free to the public and $20 for exhibitors now registering.

All proceeds from the event will assist Coweta Fayette Rotary with their community-service projects locally and abroad through Rotary International.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., judging at noon, and awards announced at 1:00 p.m.  The show is open to all from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m.  

This year’s partners are Infiniti of South Atlanta, Malinda Shelley of Harry Norman Realtors, Talbot State Bank, UBS Financial Services of Alpharetta, Meja Construction, Senoia Coffee and Café, Sam Morris State Farm, Bank of North Georgia, and Lowe’s of Newnan.
