PTCUMC cancels Trunk or Treat
Peachtree City United Methodist Church has cancelled its Trunk or Treat activity scheduled for Oct. 26. The official statement issued by the church states, “This year’s Trunk or Treat will not take place on Saturday, Oct. 26. We want to apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We look forward to providing this fun, family event next year.”

Cornerstone Baptist plans yard sale, fair
Cornerstone Baptist Church will host a Fall Yard Sale and Community Fair with fun activities for the entire family Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m . The event will feature vendors, food, youth and kids’ activities, fitness demonstrations, heath screenings and more. Cornerstone is at 640 Ebenezer Church Road, Fayetteville. Inman UMC will host Trunk or Treat
Inman United Methodist Church will host a free Trunk or Treat night of fun and fellowship Saturday, Oct. 26, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the church, 151 Hillsbridge Rd. in Inman. The event will feature games, rides, popcorn, cotton candy and a meal (hot dogs, chili, coleslaw, chips and dessert) which will be served at 6:30 p.m. For more information and directions, call the church, 770-461-2123.

Georgia Singers to perform in PTC
The Georgia Singers, a choral organization of talented girls and women from the Fayetteville area, will perform at the First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City during its regular 11 a.m. service on Sunday, Oct. 27. The group is under the direction of nationally recognized conductor Dr. Franklin Green and is accompanied by Rich Massengale. The community is invited to attend the service and performance. Gendercide movie on tap at WOG

Holy Trinity’s Craft Bazaar set for Nov. 9
Holy Trinity Catholic Church will host its Annual Craft Bazaar Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. The event will feature a huge selection of handmade crafts including jewelry, wood working, Christmas decorations and many gift ideas. Food will include homemade tamales, chili, nachos and a variety of baked goods. All proceeds will benefit the Catholic Heart Work Camp Mission Trip in June, 2014. ESL classes continue at Carriage Lane
Free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for adults meet weekly through May 16, 2014 at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, PCA,  in Peachtree City.  Students can join at any time.  Classes are held on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Childcare is provided. Word of Life FMC offers relationship class
Word of Life Free Methodist Church in Fayetteville offers Relationships 101 classes each third Friday of the month from 7-9 p.m.  The church is at 405 Fayette Place, Fayetteville, behind the Dairy Queen in the Harvest Community Shopping Center, in front of the Wings and Things Restaurant.

Summit offers free tutoring
The Family Resource Center at The Summit Presbyterian Church offers free tutoring for elementary and high school students. Classes meet on Wednesdays from 4-5 and 5-6 p.m. Help is offered in math, reading, homework, science, and language arts. Tutors are supervised by certified teachers. Prayer group meets at Summit
