‘Won by Faith’ to perform at Friendship UMC
Friendship United Methodist Church will host a singing service Sunday, July 29, at 11 a.m., highlighted by the award winning gospel quartet, Won by Faith. The quartet, hailing from Dallas Ga., has sung with groups such as The Florida Boys, The Dixie Echos, The Anchorman and Palmetto State Quartet. Friendship UMC is at 1004 Ga. Highway 314.

Fifth Sunday Celebration is this Sunday
The Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends (FCCF) will hold its regular Fifth Sunday Celebration July 29, at 2:30 p.m. at True Love Christian Ministries.  The theme for this event will be “Yes! — Youth Empowered to Serve!”  The speaker will be Minister Joseph Ervin, youth pastor at Holly Grove AME Church. True Love Christian Ministries is at 192 Graves Rd.,  just off of Gingercake Road, Fayetteville.

Nativity to observe ‘Youth Sunday’ July 29
The Episcopal Church of the Nativity will observe “Youth Sunday” and the “Last Blast of Summer” at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, July 29. Young people will participate in all key parts of the liturgy. The service also will feature blessing of filled student backpacks parishioners have donated for refugee children who will be starting school this fall. A picnic will be held on the church grounds after the service.

GriefShare starts at Holy Trinity
The 14-week GriefShare Christian support group will be offered on Wednesday evenings at Holy Trinity Catholic Church  from 7-9 p.m. starting  Aug. 8, and on Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. beginning Aug,  10. Meetings include a video seminar and an opportunity to interact and share with others who have lost a loved one.
