The Rev G. K. Barlow, 64, of Fayetteville, Ga. transitioned on February 18, 2015 at the Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

Rev. Barlow was born on June 28, 1950 to Pastor Charles and Helen Barlow in Vallejo, Calif. He grew up in Anchorage, Alaska which he loved and cherished, and he would visit throughout his adult life.

Rev. Barlow attended and graduated from Anchorage High School in Anchorage, Alaska and The University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. He served in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1974. Rev. Barlow was employed at the Coca Cola Company in Atlanta as a distribution manager and retired from Coca Cola in 2004.

Rev. Barlow was introduced to our Lord and Savior through the guidance of his parents. The first thing his mother did when his father relocated in the Air Force was to find a church home.

Reverend Barlow was a loving husband; father, brother, son and most importantly a man of God.

Rev. Barlow had a gift to clearly communicate the word of God with a no sugar coating, facts driven message that allowed for a clear understanding of the word of God. Reverend Barlow was a gifted writer which included poetry, and church plays. He developed and produced the play “The Last Supper” and directed the play at the churches he attended. His plays not only depicted the truth about the word of God, they also inspired people spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.

He served faithfully, moving his ministry to Christian for Change Baptist Church, to the Fountain of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, The Olivet Baptist Church and his home ministry God’s Chapel of Grace and Faith. He served in the youth ministry teaching teenage bible study passionately.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Barlow and daughter Hasina Barlow.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Barlow, sons, Malik and Jukabiea Barlow, daughter, Adia J. Barlow father, Pastor Charles Barlow, sisters, Carol Smith, Anchorage, Alaska; Janies Barlow-Alexander, Anchorage, Alaska; brothers, Charles Barlow, Copenhagen Demark; Pastor Donald Barlow, St Paul Minn.; and a host of sister-in laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
