Lillie Mae Echols Thomas , Newnan, died Jan. 3, 2010. She was born April 20, 1931in Heard County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Lillie Echols, her husband, Van Buren Thomas, two sisters and two brothers. She served as a loving church Mother, prayer and Bible Band teacher.
Services were at the Pine Valley Church of God in Christ, Palmetto with superintendent Woodrow Pinson, Pastor-Officiating, and Elder Timothy W. Jones, presiding. Interment was at Floral Hill Cemetery, Palmetto. Survivors include daughter, Tiffany Bellamy; and as she would say, "All My Children" at Pine Valley. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
