Peachtree City’s premier mid-winter social event is here. Kids love it and so do their parents.

On Saturday, Jan. 30, the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City presents their 18th Annual Pancake Saturday in the cafeteria of McIntosh High School on Walt Banks Road.
It is an outstanding community function that brings families, friends and neighbors together to visit while sharing breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Each year nearly 3,000 people consume approximately 10,000 pancakes.  All enjoy the all-you-can-eat meal of fluffy pancakes, zesty sausage, cold orange juice, milk, coffee and tea.
Serving hours are from 7 a.m.-1 p.m.  Tickets may be pre-purchased for $5 from any Kiwanis member or purchased at the door for $5.50.  Take-outs are available to those unable to participate in the on-site fun.

Entertainment includes clowns from New Hope Baptist Church, free balloons, face-painting and a pancake eating contest for kids scheduled for 11 a.m..
Also greeting the kids will be the Club’s raccoon mascot....his name, Flapjack, of course.

All proceeds are returned to the community through service projects or gifts to charitable organizations.
The 90-member Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City is the sole sponsor of the DARE drug awareness program in area elementary schools.  They also sponsor Kiwanis-related clubs in elementary, middle and high schools.  Photos from last years’ function can be seen on the clubs website at www.peachtreecitykiwanis.org.  For additional information, contact Dan Nelson, (770) 632-0386.
