Family cemetery vandals should receive no rest

I went to the Brown Cemetery in Peachtree City on Saturday, Nov. 14, to cut the grass at my daughter’s great-grandparents’ and great-great-grandparents’ graves.

I was shocked to find that someone had broken the tombstones of her great-great-grandparents, James and Martha Hall. Martha Hall was buried in 1899.

The common epitaph is “Rest in peace,” something that no longer appears possible in small, isolated cemeteries.

It is my hope that the vandals do not have a peaceful night’s sleep until they make restitution for the damage.
