Healthcare: Read the bill. It’s frightening

In reference to Mr. Ed Outlaw’s letter (The Citizen, Aug. 5, 2009), I have one question to ask him and everyone who chooses to discuss/dispute this abomination:

Have you read the proposed bill?

You can access the entire 1018 pages at either of these websites: AAHCA-BillText-071409.pdf (1.74MB) or https://bit.ly/18TMBb.

Pretty boring in spots, I admit, but overall very frightening. I suggest reading about 20 pages per day and hear what is intimated.

Pages 425-427 note the “end of life counseling required.” No wonder Mr. Outlaw disputes this if he gets his information from the socialist Democrat propaganda PAC known as AARP.

The longevity of citizens in the U.S. includes all deaths, regardless of age, whether from murders, accidents, or health problems. No other country includes these statistics, so naturally the life expectancy in these countries will be greater than the U.S, and it’s not because of socialized medicine.

You should balance your information by listening/reading other sources than the leftist main stream media. The fair-and-balanced Fox News has had innumerable physicians and patients from Canada, Great Britain, Cuba, etc., who do not paint the happy picture Mr. Outlaw claims.

That’s why so many of them, including the high-ranking politicians, come to the United States for treatment.

Obama claims you will have the option of choosing his universal coverage or a private policy. Is anyone so naive to believe that a private company can compete with the government which has unlimited (confiscated taxpayer) funds to undercut whatever price is set by an insurance company?

Everyone will be forced to join the government program. Read the bill.
