Bert Weiss teams up with World Football Challenge to give local kids opportunity to take the field with AC Milan

Bert’s Big Adventure, an Atlanta-based charity organization, announced today that it is teaming up with the World Football Challenge to give 11 local Atlanta-area kids the opportunity to take the field with international soccer club AC Milan prior to the team’s match on Wednesday, July 22 at the Georgia Dome.

The Atlanta-based youngsters will walk hand-in-hand wearing complete AC Milan uniforms with world-class soccer stars like Ronaldinho, Andrea Pirlo and Filippo Inzaghi.  Following the pre-match festivities, the children will get to watch AC Milan take on Mexico powerhouse Club America at the Georgia Dome as part of the World Football Challenge, a six-city round robin international tournament.

“I will forever be grateful that the World Football Challenge and AC Milan are giving these 11 BBA kids this once in a lifetime opportunity” said Bert Weiss, founder of Bert’s Big Adventure and host of the popular Q100 Atlanta morning radio program, The Bert Show.  “Our organization’s mission is to give these special children everlasting memories.  Taking the field with one of the world’s best soccer teams in a packed Georgia Dome will be an exclusive experience for these kids to cherish forever.”

Bert's Big Adventure is a non-profit organization designed to allow children with a chronic or terminal illness that prove financial need and live in “The Bert Show” radio listening area, opportunities with their families that may otherwise not be possible.  For more information on Bert’s Big Adventure, visit www.bertsbigadventure.org.

The World Football Challenge features four of the best clubs in the world – Chelsea FC, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Club America.  The tournament begins today and concludes on Sunday, July 26.  ESPN will televise all matches on ESPN or ESPN2.  Matches will also air on ESPN’s Spanish-language sports network, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN360.com, the company’s live sports broadband network.  For ticket information for the contest between AC Milan and Club America at the Georgia Dome on Wednesday visit www.worldfootballchallenge.com.
