A south Fayette was in court yesterday, charged with sending pornography online to an undercover agent who he believed was a 14-year-old girl.

George Cooper, 50, of Travis Trail is accused of transmitting images of adult pornography and images depicting minors or portions of minors bodies engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to a warrant for his arrest filed by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Also Cooper is accused of sending images of his penis to the “girl” who was actually an undercover GBI agent, the court documents said.

The four charges stem from incidents on three separate dates, all of which occurred at Cooper’s home, according to the warrants.

In all four instances, Cooper is alleged to have used the Yahoo Messenger instant messaging service, the warrants said, with dates being May 19, June 10 and July 10, all in 2008.

Cooper is charged with three counts of violating the Georgia computer or electronic pornography and child exploitation act of 2007. He also faces one additional count of sexual exploitation of children.

Magistrate James A. White set Cooper's bond at $200,000 and is requiring that Cooper not have access to a computer that is connected to the Internet.
