Peachtree City police are looking for a lone robber who hit the Kedron Village Kroger supermarket in the middle of the night Monday.

“The suspect entered the Kedron Village Kroger and demanded money from a cashier,” police said. “After approaching the cashier with his hand in his coat pocket, he claimed to have a concealed .357 caliber pistol. The suspect exited the store through the front doors and walked behind the north end of the shopping center, where he went to the alleyway behind the Blockbuster store.”

Police believe the man drove away on Georgian Park in a dark-colored pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet with a camper shell. The incident is being handled as an armed robbery and happened Monday at 1:40 a.m., police said.

Police described the robber “as a white male approximately 45 years of age, 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet, average build, dark hair, mustache, with a significant recent scratch on his left cheek, wearing a flannel jacket, blue jeans and a black ball cap with white writing.”

Police didn’t disclose how much money was taken.
