Jack Willard Parks III, 59, Fayetteville, died Feb. 6, 2009. He was retired from the United States Army, and had served in Vietnam. He was the owner of Jack Parks Homes. His great love was the Boy Scouts where he was a Scout Master. He enjoyed helping mentor the boys toward their Eagle Scout rank. He loved the outdoors. Graveside services were at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Melodie Parks, Fayetteville; sons, Jack Willard and Michelle Parks IV, Senoia, and Erik Parks, Newnan; a daughter, Kristin Parks, Greenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Jack, Andrew, and Colin Parks; and sisters, Donne Riggs and Cassandra Hazen. Memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of American, Flint River Council, Griffin, Ga. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
