H. Ray McCain, 92, Tyrone, died Feb. 5, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mary Davis McCain. He had worked for 30 years at Southern Railroad as a car-man. He was a deacon and active member of Welcome All-Forest Hills Baptist Church, College Park and later Cabaniss Baptist Church, Forsyth. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Sam Orr officiating. Interment was at Cabaniss Baptist Church, Forsyth.

Survivors include son, Tony and Doris McCain, Tyrone, and Michael and Andrea McCain, Lexington, S.C.; grandchildren, Monya Grantham, Kim Trentham, Toni Lindros, Wiley McCain, Christa Friddle, and Candace Wallace; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Opal Shannon. Memorial donations may be given to the Cabaniss Baptist Church, 2967 Stokes Store Rd., Forsyth, GA 31029. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
