Kemp's Dalton West Flooring of Newnan, Peachtree City and Kemp's Carpets in LaGrange has been awarded the 2008 Southeast Region, Dealer of the Year Award by Mohawk Industries, the world’s largest flooring manufacturer. It was due largely to their major contributions in the flooring industry.

In 1998 the Kemp family was approached by Mohawk Industries to be a new prototype concept store called “Floorscapes”. They willingly accepted this challenge for the entire flooring industry. To achieve this they put aside the usual day to day ways of doing business to experiment, redesign and customize the customers shopping experience in the area of showroom design, product knowledge and service. Because of these efforts it was a great success for the industry. Today 491 stores in the United States display the banner as a Mohawk Floorscapes store. Because of this relationship, Mohawk Industries continues to bring innovative ideas and projects to the door of Kemp’s Dalton West Flooring and Kemp’s Carpets.

The company was started by Mr. Gurald Kemp in 1976. Since that time the company has grown into three full service retail flooring stores.  Mr. Kemp’s three sons, Chris, Jeff and Brent, work full time managing each location. The company sells and installs all types of flooring products.
