A Peachtree City woman has been arrested on charges of aggravated assault relating to a family violence incident with her 21 year-old daughter.
Helen Gene Thomas, 42, was arrested Jan. 14 on charges of aggravated assault-family violence, according to Peachtree City Police spokesperson Rosanna Dove.
Police reports stated that Thomas and her daughter had been arguing all day. Prior to her daughter’s call to police at 11:30 p.m., Thomas is alleged to have broken a vase and a door. When confronted by her daughter, Thomas picked up a large kitchen knife, held it to her daughter’s face and threatened to cut her, reports said.
Neither of the parties to the incident sustained any injuries, Dove said.
