John Robert "Bob" Drennan Sr., 71, Greenville, formerly of Fayetteville, died Dec. 5, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Paul and Mercedes Ellison Drennan. He was the grandson of a Confederate veteran of the War Between The States, John Ellison. He enjoyed farming his whole life. For 34 years he sold truck parts which led to his founding D&B. Truck Parts and Fayette Wrecker.

Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Lisbon Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mildred Farrar Drennan, Greenville; sons, Robert and Teresa Drennan, Fayetteville, and David and Amy Drennan, McDonough; grandchildren, Matthew, Whitney, Chance, and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Lacey; brothers, Garland and Shirley Drennan, Jim and Betty Brennan, and Henry and Carol Drennan; and sisters, Sara Summerville, Martha and Jimmy Brooks, Mary Hefner, and Cathy and Larry Hewatt. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
