Joseph Pelkey, 82, Peachtree City, died Sept. 18. 2008. He was born Aug. 17, 1926 in Providence, R.I. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Elizabeth Pelkey, and his wife of 53 years, Anne Pelkey. He was a graduate of Bryant College and served in the United States Air Force. After a career in sales, he and his wife retired to Peachtree City in 1977. In fulfillment of his wishes, his body was donated to Emory University School of Medicine. Survivors include brothers, Arthur Pelkey, Hartford, Conn, and his twin brother, John "Jack" Pelkey, Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Betty Clancy, Framingham, Mass.; a daughter, Yvonne Pelkey Greason, Augusta; a granddaughter, Amanda and Miles M. Wilson III, Tyrone; a grandson, Evan and Ashley Greason, Senoia; and great-grandchildren, Miles IV and Michael Wilson, Tyrone, and Alexis and Rylan Greason, Senoia.
