I would like to thank high school student Caitlin Dillon for her thoughtfulness and effort in coordinating the second annual Patriot Day Freedom Walk on Sept. 6, 2008. Her parents should be proud of her.

We are new residents to Peachtree City and were proud to walk on behalf of our courageous family members.

My family and I were proud to walk in memory of those who lost their lives in the tragic events of 9/11 and in honor of our family members (who cannot all be named) who have served this country:

William White, 1st Sgt., U.S. Army

Charles Crain, Sr., Tuskegee airman

General Roscoe Cartwright, Sr. (deceased), U.S. Army

John Hagans, 1st Sgt., Big Red One, Infantry Airborne, Green Beret (deceased), U.S. Army

Captain Steven Brown, Military Police, U.S. Army

Dr. William Hagans, Staff Sgt., Field Medic, U.S. Army

Christopher Browne, PFC, U.S. Army
