St. Paul Lutheran School has made several additions to their teaching staff for the 2008-2009 school year. The school, located at the entrance of the Ardenlee Subdivision in Peachtree City, offers a Christian, pre-K through middle school experience for area children. St. Paul Lutheran School offers a strong academic program and has scored in the top 1-3 percent nationally on annual achievement tests.

With the retirement of Dan Palisch, the school has announced the installation of Jim Richards as the new principal. The Richards family recently moved to Peachtree City from Macomb, Michigan. Jim Richards served as principal at Trinity Lutheran School and his wife was a guidance counselor at a local public high school. Prior to their five years in Michigan, they lived in Boca Raton, Fla., where he worked as a teacher, coach and assistant principal at a Lutheran school.

Richards has a bachelor of science in education from the University of South Florida, a master’s degree in education and leadership from Florida Atlantic University and over 20 years of service in Lutheran ministries as both a teacher and administrator. Jim Richards and his family are ready and excited for the coming school year at St. Paul as they settle in to the community.

The school also added Ann Didier as their fifth grade teacher, Laura Seutter as the fourth grade teacher and Rachel Vrudny as the first grade teacher. Didier comes to the staff with extensive teaching experience at area schools and a master’s degree. Seutter is a graduate of Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska where she earned a bachelor of science in elementary education. Vrudny comes to St. Paul from a school in New Orleans and holds a degree in elementary education from Concordia University in Minnesota.
