The American Cancer Society in Fayette County needs volunteers for its Road to Recovery program to drive cancer patients to and from their cancer treatments.

“A successful Road to Recovery program is a tremendous asset to the community, and volunteers provide an essential and life-saving service,” said Lisa Cockerham, mission delivery manager at American Cancer Society. “They ensure that cancer patients are able to take advantage of the latest medical advancements and receive regular cancer treatments.”

Join this meaningful program and make a positive difference in the lives of those around you. Free training is provided. Requirements for volunteering for Road to Recovery include a good driving record, a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and a vehicle that is in good working condition.

For more information on becoming a Road to Recovery volunteer, call the American Cancer Society at 770-631-0625 or email [email protected].
