Elaine A. Sherwood, 63, Fayetteville, died Jan. 26, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude Strass. She was an avid animal lover and volunteered for many years at the Fayette County Humane Society. There were no services. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Daniel R. Sherwood, Fayetteville; daughters, Pamela and Scott Sedlak, Valrico, Fla., and Kelley and Gregg Cavaliere, Katonah, N. Y.; grandchildren, Christopher Sedlak, Tara Sedlak, and Gannon Sedlak, all of Valrico, Fla., and Julia Cavaliere, Curly Cavaliere, and Christian Cavaliere, all of Katonah, N. Y. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
