Peachtree City is accepting applications for seats on the Peachtree City Airport Authority, the Peachtree City Recreation Commission, and the Peachtree City Tourism Association. These are volunteer, non-paying positions.
The Peachtree City Airport Authority owns and manages Peachtree City-Falcon Field Airport. The Peachtree City Recreation Commission serves as advisors to the Mayor and Council on recreation issues within the City. The Peachtree City Tourism Association manages the City-owned Peachtree City Tennis Center and Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater and promotes tourism within the community.
Applicants for the Airport Authority and Recreation Commission must have been Peachtree City residents for at least six months. Tourism, hotel, finance, or other industry-related experience is preferred for Tourism Association applicants. Applications are available at City Hall and via the City website, www.peachtree-city.org, and are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2007.
