Mcintosh High School's gym will be the place to be December 3 as the Fayette County Board of Education agreed Monday night to stage a public hearing on the controversial new elementary school boundary lines.
The hearing will start at 7 p.m. at the gym and is sure to feature numerous parents who are concerned about the proposal to shift 2,000 students to new elementary schools next year.
During Monday night's meeting, the board discussed whether East Fayette Elementary School should be closed, but did not reach a decision.
The board plans to take a final vote on the boundaries Dec.17.
