Lindsay Renee Mitchell and Douglas Edward Martin were married Sept. 22, 2007, in a beach side ceremony in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. The Rev. Allen Graham officiated.

Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held at the Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club.

Carla Harper, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Leslie Mitchell and Lisa Graham, both sisters of the bride.

Joe Martin, the groom’s brother, served as best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Goble and Ryan Swadley, friends of the groom. Jaylen Mitchell, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Mitchell of Brooks. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Ruby Giles of Brooks and the late William Giles of East Point, and Ms. Patsy Mitchell of LaGrange and the late Wayne Mitchell of East Point. She is a 1996 graduate of Griffin High School and a 2002 graduate of Georgia Perimeter College School of Nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Martin of Williamsport, Ind. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph LeCuyer of Kankakee, Ill. He is a 1995 graduate of Seeger High School and a 2007 graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He completed six years of service in the U.S. Army and is now employed as a helicopter mechanic with Metro Aviation.

Following a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple now resides in Atlanta.
