John Howard Uhle, 88, Fayetteville, died Feb. 11, 2007. He was born June 19, 1918 in Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Jane Uhle. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor John Weber officiating. Interment was at Brooks Memorial Cemetery. Survivors include a son, John H. and Deloris Uhle II, Palm City, Fla.; daughters, Sharon and Owen Underwood, Atlanta, Susan West, Hixson, Tenn., and Theresa and Charles McClendon, Locust Grove; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald and Elizabeth Uhle, Hochley, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Drive, McDonough, GA 30253. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
