The Fayette County 4-H Shotgun Club hosted a Step OutsideĀ® event Oct. 14 for over 100 individuals to introduce them to shotgun use and trapshooting. Step Outside is a program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) who provided funds to the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA).
The ATA awarded grants to selected shotgun clubs who are members of the ATA. The event included instruction on safe shotgun use, developing shooting skills and range safety and information about the ATA and the Fayette County 4-H Shotgun Club. Eye and ear protection, free clay target shooting and coaching were provided by volunteers from the 4-H club.
More information about the ATA is available by visiting their Web site at www.shootata.com and info about the Fayette County 4-H Shotgun Club is available from the Fayette County Cooperative Extension Service, 770-460-5730, ext. 5412 or at the clubās Web site at www.fayette4hshootingsports.com.
