Daniel Dorney, son of John and Lynn Dorney of Fayetteville, recently was named the 8th grade winner of the Augustin Clayton Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter essay contest. Dorney, a student at Fayette Middle School, wrote his essay on Benjamin Franklin. Shown presenting Dorney with his award is Rachel Colbert, American History Chairman of the Augustin Clayton DAR.
