U.S. Highway 29 (Roosevelt Highway) in Fairburn will be closed Saturday, Oct. 1, from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m. for the Fairburn Festival of Arts and Antiques. Through-traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes around the city, such as South Fulton Parkway and I-85, as well as Bay or East Broad Streets in Fairburn. Local traffic will be detoured to Washington Street in the immediate area of the festival activities. Motorists who must use Roosevelt Highway in Fairburn will experience minor delays, but are encouraged to stop in and participate in the festivities.
