It can be devastating when a member of the family suddenly has

a need for medical equipment such as a wheelchair or hospital

bed, and the situation becomes even more difficult if this equipment

is hard to find. But one supplier is dedicated to making this

process and quick and easy as possible, ensuring loved ones and

their families are taken care of with kindness and convenience.

At Freedom Medical Solutions, located in Fayetteville between

Michael's and Midas, you will find a spacious, well-lit 3,400-square-foot

showroom, dedicated to home medical equipment, service and repair.

The facility is designed to allow customers to try out the products

before they buy and to see many different styles and colors of

the equipment to suit their individual needs.

Owner Bill Talley says having retail showroom in the durable

medical equipment industry is important to customers. "The

this industry, the typical facility is small, disorganized, and

has no showroom or very limited stock," he explained. "Customers

are usually required to select their merchandise from catalogs

and wait up to a week to take delivery of an item."

Freedom Medical, in contrast, maintains a large inventory of

home medical equipment from nebulizers and hospital beds to power

wheelchairs and bathroom safety items. Same day delivery is included

with the purchase of most items, and the company has flexible

hours to accommodate those individuals who have to work around

a job schedule or care for a loved one.

Along with equipment, Freedom Medical has developed a wide range

of services to help people accommodate disabilities within their

homes. The company has partnered with a licensed home remodeling

professional who can provide modifications to enable the client

to live comfortably, with increased independence, in their own

home, whether this means widening a doorway and modifying a bathroom

or adding a full basement apartment.

Talley says that people are often unfamiliar with the various

products that can help an aging parent cope with disabilities

while maintaining their independence.

"One customer required a hospital bed, bathroom equipment

and a lift chair to accommodate her father, a stroke patient

about to be released from a local rehabilitation facility," Talley

said. "With our large on hand inventory, our response time

is often the same day. Her selections were delivered that afternoon,

and she is able to call on us whenever she has other needs."

One popular item installed by Freedom Medical is the stairglide,

which allows access to the second story or basement of the home

when someone can no longer climb the stairs without assistance.

Talley says this is his favorite service to offer, addressing

the "whole home, whole person."

Freedom Medical is an approved Medicare supplier and can secure

reimbursement to customers for Medicare approved expenditures.

The staff is trained and knowledgeable and has secured manufacturer

service training on the equipment that they offer.

"Our greatest enjoyment is knowing we are able to make

a positive difference in someone's daily life," Talley said.
