"Our main
purpose is to help new families celebrate new life," said Tina Patrick,
director of Baby Peaches. "We are thrilled about launching this program
in Atlanta and hope to make a positive impact throughout the year."
The first official
Baby Peaches presentation to Grady Health System, in December, consisted
of bags with baby products to assist five mothers who are HIV/AIDS positive.
In addition
to making a donation of a Peach Baby Bag, Baby Peaches has developed a
membership base to help fund the baby products. For $10, members of the
local community can become a 2003 Baby Peaches member receiving an annual
newsletter on the organization's progress and contributions to the education,
care and support of new parents.
Baby Peaches,
Inc., is a nonprofit organization based in Peachtree City, dedicated to
making a positive contribution to the welfare of children and parents
in the metro Atlanta area.
