After deciding
to remain in the metro Atlanta area as a solo neurologist, he conducted
a population-vs.-need study of the area. He and his wife decided to locate
his practice in Fayette County because of its "great and growing
hospital, warm and friendly people and excellent living commodities for
raising our children."
In keeping
with advances in technology and neuroscience, Dr. Ranadive is working
to eventually establish a "stroke program" or "brain attack"
program for the community with the help of his colleagues. A six-month
fellowship study of epilepsy allowed him to learn some very advanced techniques
in diagnosis and treatment of seizures, including long-term video monitoring.
His office
is open weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at 1250 Ga. Highway 54 West, Suite
201, in Fayetteville, across from Fayette Community Hospital in the old
Emory Clinic.
