Every moment
you've spent in the sun has left a permanent mark. The UV Scanner gives
you visible proof that the sun is affecting your skin, and what the future
holds if you continue to expose your unprotected skin to the damaging
rays of the sun.
UV eye damage
Inside your
eyes is a pigment called melanin. It's the same pigment that gives your
skin and hair its color. Melanin provides powerful protection to the lens
of the eye against UV light damage.
Normal aging
and overexposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays decrease melanin production,
which in turn increases the risk of both cataract formation and macular
degeneration. With this screening the amount of UV damage your eyes have
suffered can be assessed and you can easily see if cataracts are being
formed on the lens of your eyes.
These three
important screenings are available Nov. 30 for one price of $5. Fayette
