For homeowners
who travel often, such as airline industry employees and others throughout
Fayette County, having someone else handle outside maintenance is a big
advantage, she added, and condos are popular with the elderly for the
same reason.
"Elderly
people love them," she said. "It gives them a sense of security,
and the value is there."
Condos have
traditionally been smaller residents, more suited for single-parent families
and couples without children. But more and more are being offered now
with a lot of space and even with basements.
"In the
past, if you got two bedrooms, that was good," said Johnson. "It's
a family home now."
While she only
has a single condo unit listed right now, she cited that as proof of their
value.
"A lot
of people can sell condos on their own," she said. "There's
definitely a market for it."
