Bank changes, but club keeps going

When

Fayette County Bank became Regions Bank, the names of

many things changed. However, Nancy Price and the bank's

commitment to seniors remained.

Price started the

successful Prime Timer Club in 1994 and was instrumental

in the enormous growth of the seniors' club. Her strong

background in marketing, event planning and travel has

attracted a large segment of seniors to participate in

the often-times sell-out events and trips.

Price is now the

coordinator for Regions Bank's Heritage Club in Fayette

and Coweta counties, the "new" club in town.

While the bank name and the name of the club may be

different, a lot has remained constant and there are some

positive additions.

"Once we became

Regions Bank, I was happy to see that they placed the

same emphasis on the senior market that we did as Fayette

County Bank," said Price. "We will continue to

operate autonomously with our own local luncheons and

trips, as well as being part of the overall Heritage Club

network in Georgia. That means our members will have

greater opportunity for extended travel with seniors from

all over the state of Georgia."

With Fayette County quickly

becoming a retirement haven according to the latest

demographic reports, the senior market is extremely

important. For many, Peachtree City is a retiree's dream

with easy access to shopping malls and restaurants via

the well-planned bicycle and golf carts. The senior

market is thriving throughout the two-county area.

According to Price, the

Fayette and Newnan markets will combine their club

membership and share trips and luncheons.

The club stays busy with

everything from trips to the theater to extended travel

to desitnations such as Branson, Biloxi and New Orleans.

"Combine this with bi-monthly luncheons and nearly

monthly day trips and you have a very full

calendar," said Price.

Longer, extended trips are

offered for all the Heritage Club members across the

state. Some of the club's future plans include trips to

Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas. In December members will be

traveling to Austria to visit the Christmas markets, as

well as to Pennsylvania to experience a true Pennsylvania

Dutch-style Christmas.

Currently there are

Heritage Clubs in 26 markets of Regions Bank's central

and northeast regions of Georgia. The total number of

Heritage Club household members totals 24,789.

"If you are 50 or

better, Regions Bank invites you to join their Heritage

Club. It is a unique account that goes a step beyond

traditional banking to help you get the most of the prime

of your life," Price notes.
