0Who is that bearded guy? Santa Claus came to downtown Fayetteville recently to help the Fayette County Republican Party and their efforts to wrap Christmas presents for area residents. Closer scrutiny of the jolly old elf revealed that it wasn’t Santa at all, but rather Fayette County Commissioner Allen McCarty who said he had received a call from Santa asking that he stand in for him.
