Some 12 students were put through the paces recently in a mock disaster drill, the cap of their training under the Community Emergency Response Team program offered by the Peachtree City Police Department. These trainees carry out a “victim” from the disaster scene as they worked to triage the remaining victims. The CERT program prepares individuals to help themselves, their family and their neighbors in the event of a disaster.
