McCormick-King engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Jack McCormick of Brooks announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Leigh McCormick, to Mark Adam King, son of John and Karen King of Atlanta.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Fayette County High School, Mercer University, and will receive her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Georgia in August 2011. She is currently completing her clinical residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. where she has accepted a post-doctoral fellowship.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Fayette County High School and the Georgia Institute of Technology. He recently received his master’s in public administration from the University of Georgia and is currently working in Washington, D.C. as a legislative correspondent for Senator Mike Johanns of Nebraska.

The wedding is planned for June 4, 2011 at Jekyll Island.Following the honeymoon, the couple will reside in Washington, D.C.
