Suitcase, blanket drive underway for foster children

Advo-Kids CASA is hosting a Suitcase and Blanket Drive to help provide children with suitcases and blankets when transitioning into foster homes.

Children often come into care with small bags of limited items and we would like for them to have suitcases so they can carry more of their personal belongings. Sometimes the children long for an item to help comfort them during this difficult transition and the organization would like to provide blankets as an item to help with comfort.

Advo-Kids CASA is asking the community drop off donations of new or gently used suitcases and blankets between Feb. 28 and March 28 at drop-off locations including Heritage Bank in Fayetteville and the Tyrone Recreational Center. The donations will be distributed to DFCS offices in Fayette and other counties served by the Griffin Judicial Circuit.

Your support is truly appreciated.
