Jane Schneider Lakis, 70, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully at home on August 9, 2017.
She was born on August 19, 1946 in Montgomery, Ala. to the late William and Paula Schneider. She was a 1968 graduate of Auburn University and remained an avid Auburn University sports fan. Jane’s passions were simple, she loved her children, grandchildren, history and reading, lunch dates with her girlfriends and her friendship with her childhood friend, Kay.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Claude Schneider.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Preston Lewis, Jr. (Pam) and William Andrew Lewis (Audra); her daughters, Kimberly Ann Carter (Keith) and Laura Elizabeth McAlister (David); and 14 grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at St. Andrews in the Pines Episcopal Church, Peachtree City. The family received friends at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville from 11:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
