Mr. and Mrs. William M. Ellis (Linda Gay) of Madison, Miss., and Mr. and Mrs. Christopher M. Huey of Destin, Fla. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Christine Huey, to Peter Oliver Schmidt of Washington, D.C.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the Honorable and Mrs. Raymond E. Rhodes of Tallahassee, Fla., Frances M. Huey of Destin, Fla., and the late Dr. William Huey of Seattle, Wash. She grew up in Peachtree City and is a graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and the University of Georgia. Kimberly earned her doctor of jurisprudence degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, is employed as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice and lives in Washington, D.C.
The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Schmidt (Caryn), of Cottage Grove, Wis., and a graduate of Monona Grove High School. He also is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where he earned a bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree in electrical and computer engineering, and a graduate of Harvard University Law School and Harvard University Business School where he earned his doctor of jurisprudence degree and master of business administration degree. He is employed as an attorney with Mayer Brown, LLP.
A May wedding in Georgia is planned.
