Won Pyo Hong, age 69, of Peachtree City passed away at Piedmont Fayette Hospital surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 2, 2016.
Won was born in Mokpo, South Korea to In Suk and Chu Hong. Won was the valedictorian when he graduated from Seoul University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. On May 8, 1976, Won married Eun Hee Sung. Won and Eun immigrated to the United States in 1977. He appreciated nature and loved to laugh. Won was full of life and the joy of the Lord. He had a deep and abiding love for his family that will never be forgotten.
Won is survived by his caring and beloved wife of forty years, Eun; his children, Sam Hong and his wife Elizabeth, Esther Spencer and her husband David; his two grandchildren, Jonathan Hong and Jadon Hong; and his four sisters.
Won was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings. Won loved the Lord and served him all his life, leaving his family with a legacy of great faith.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 6 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church, 1401 Old Peachtree Rd., Suwanee.
