Priscilla Lee, a Peachtree City native and junior film, photography, video & visual arts major in the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, was a recent presenter at the 13th Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Alumni of Color Conference.
Lee presented an interactive session on cultivating cross-racial empathy in race-focused higher education classes and study abroad programs.
The Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Alumni of Color Conference aims to inspire and impact the improvement of the education sector by annually convening Harvard Graduate School of Education alumni, students, practitioners and scholars concerned with issues of race, class and education.
This year’s theme, “The Other Narrative: Celebrating Untold Stories,” encouraged participants to challenge dominant narratives that position the racial, ethnic, and cultural identities belonging to communities of color as inferior.
