Peachtree City is ready to “throw down” for the American Cornhole Organization (ACO) Majors March 20 – 21.

The Peachtree City Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is hosting the event at the Tennis Center, 10 Planterra Way, Peachtree City, and is getting ready for a weekend of cornholing, tailgating and fun.

“Tailgating is an essential part of the Cornhole Sport, and the Tennis Center will be ready with lounge chairs for players and spectators alike to be comfortable and enjoy the sport,” said Jonathan Fralick, Director of the PTC Tennis Center.

There also will be food, beer and music to enjoy.

“Cornhole or Corn Toss is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags instead of horseshoes and metal stakes,” according to the ACO, the governing body for the sport of Cornhole. “Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the cornhole platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point.”
